Make It A Lifestyle Not A Resolution!

MAKE YOUR NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION REALITY

For millions of Americans it’s an annual tradition to begin a strict fitness and diet program on the first of Every Year. However, more often than not, we set ourselves up for failure by working toward virtually impossible goals. The easy fix… Keep your New Year’s resolutions attainable.

1. Add 500 – 1,000 steps to your day. This can be accomplished by parking further away from your destination, taking the stairs instead of the elevator and taking a brisk walk on your lunch break.

2. Lower your cholesterol by twenty points. Your cholesterol level is directly linked to your lifestyle. Resolve to lower your intake of saturated fats and/or fried foods.

3. Jump Start your diet. Make small changes that will really stick, such as committing to consume at least one additional glass of water a day and remembering to have a small, healthy snack in between meals… And exercise portion Control.

4. Find an “Active” buddy. Aim to find someone with similar goals to yours for encouragement to stay on the rails and committed to making health and fitness part of your lifestyle!

5. Bite-sized chunks. The easiest way to eat a cow is, “One bit at a time”! Don’t bite off more than you can chew, start of slow and work your way to your goal… you’ll avoid burnout and commit to a long addiction to health and wellness.
